Should Teachers Give Homework?

I believe that teachers should give homework to all students. Homework is good practice for students and it helps make the subject simpler and easier for us to understand. If we need help, our parent or guardian can help us and be involved in our learning process. It teaches us time management skills, since we have to plan our schedule around completing and submitting homework. Homework allows teachers and parents to communicate with each other and with us. It allows for a comfortable place for students to study because we can work while in a safe space. It provides more time to complete the learning process. If we got rid of homework, our learning and grades would suffer greatly.

Having homework can cause a lot of stress. To be honest, I do not think it is as important as people say it is. Too much homework can disturb the balance of life. For example, we would have less time with family and reduced social interaction. It can also affect your sleep hours. I do not think that it is fair that we are in school working hard and still having to do more work at home. Homework takes the majority of our time and it does not let us do other activities, for example: sports, clubs, etc. We should eliminate homework so that students can have a life outside of school.
